Why I Started
Sharing
For many years, I kept most of my lessons to myself. Some came from successes. Others came from mistakes, setbacks and experiences I never expected to go through.
Back in 2007, a simple idea among a small group taught me valuable lessons about trust, responsibility, consistency, and financial awareness.
The journey wasn't always smooth.
There were challenges, difficult decisions, and seasons when we had to stop and reflect.
But those experiences eventually became some of my greatest teachers.
Today, I share what I've learned in the hope that others might find encouragement, practical insights, and the confidence to take their own small first step.
Because meaningful progress doesn't always begin with something big.

My Story
I Didn’t Start With a Perfect Plan. I Simply Started.
For years, I believed what many people believe:
If I worked hard, stayed employed, and remained responsible, everything would eventually fall into place.
And while having a stable job brought security, I often found myself wondering if there was another way to create opportunities beyond my paycheck.
Like many employees and OFWs, I had goals, responsibilities, and dreams that seemed bigger than my monthly income.
The challenge wasn’t a lack of ambition.
It was not knowing where to start.
So I began learning.
One book.
One course.
One conversation.
One experiment at a time.
Over the years, I explored digital products, online opportunities, AI tools, and cooperative entrepreneurship. I made mistakes, learned valuable lessons, and slowly discovered that meaningful change rarely comes from one big breakthrough.
More often, it comes from small, consistent steps.
That realization eventually inspired me to write Monetize Yourself Online: How to Build an Online Career While Being a Full-Time Employee and to share my experiences through interviews, educational content, and community learning.
Today, my mission is simple:
To inspire ordinary people to start without waiting for the perfect timing, perfect knowledge and perfect circumstances.
Because you don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.
You don’t need a perfect business plan.
You don’t need to quit your job tomorrow.
You just need a place to start.

Nimfa V. Maniscan (NVM) is a self-published author of the book, “Monetize Yourself Online - How to Build an Online Career While Being a Full-time Employee”. She is also an affiliate marketer, a coach and an online entrepreneur on the side of being a full-time employee, a wife and a mother of 4 kids based in Davao City.
